For starters, Padman has an issue which will not connect with everyone but once it did there’s no stopping for this film. When it was coming with Sidharth Malhotra’s Aiyaary, we were sure of the screens distribution but now it’s clashing the big fish – Padmaavat. How much percentage of the screen it gets, to be seen.

Akshay Kumar’s last movie Toilet: Ek Prem Katha broke all the records to be his highest grossing movie of all time. The movie surpassed the lifetime collection of Rowdy Rathore (131 crores). It went on to collect 133.60 crores at the box office. This is the target Padman will be eyeing for.

It would be an applaudable achievement if the film manages to reach even close of is despite releasing with Padmaavat. Surely, it’ll have an upper hand in the regions Padmaavat will get banned. Apart from Toilet: Ek Prem Katha & Rowdy Rathore, Akshay Kumar has 6 other movies in 100 crore club – Airlift (129 crores), Rustom (127.42 crores), Jolly LLB 2 (117 crores), Housefull 2 (114 crores), Holiday (112.65 crores) and Housefull 3 (107.70 crores).
